As one of the most important meetings in the natural stone sector in the world, MARBLE – International Natural Stone and Technologies Fair is opening its door to the whole world for the 25th time. MARBLE will welcome many exhibitor companies and sector professionals from Turkey and various countries at IZMIRFAIR, the largest and the most modern fair complex in Turkey.

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez, "Provided to export processed marble for new mining sites can go to such auctions. Surely 5 to 10 times more value-added products are sold to our country," he said. DÖNMEZ participated in the closing ceremony of "Bursa 4th International Block Marble Fair" organized in cooperation with TÜYAP Bursa Fuarcılık AŞ and Mineral Marble Producers and Industrialists Businessmen Association (MADSİAD). Dönmez, while visiting the marble block stands, said " Turkey is very luckly on the aspect of marble and natural stones" in his speech afterwards. "The fair leads to an increase in the export capacity of Turkey and competitiveness of our marble sector."

Four Turkish businesspeople were detained in China during last week's Xiamen Stone Fair accused of tax avoidance. The people arrested have only been identified by their initials – O S, M O, A and Y C. They were detained at their hotels in the early hours of the final day of the exhibition (March 9), according to the Turkish newspaper Hürriyet Daily News. The Turkish men are employees of three Turkish companies that have offices in China. Police confiscated some documents and products during the raids.
